Can I list any event on LocalOutings?

Yes, so long as the event is open to the public, and the event provides something for people to do other than just listening to a sales pitch.

Can I list my business on LocalOutings?

Yes, if your business provides something for people to do other than just buy something. (If you are selling vacuum cleaners, LocalOutings is not the right place for listing your business.)

If your business primarily offers regularly scheduled activities (e.g., whale watching, yoga courses, guided nature walks, etc.), you should consider listing your business as a recurring event rather than as a place.

What if I see incorrect, inappropriate, or misleading information listed?

Please let us know. There are links on every place and event information page to report problems, or use the feedback link at the bottom of any page. If you can provide corrected information, we'd appreciate it. If any listing has content that violates the terms of use of the site, we will remove the information, and the submitter may be disallowed from submitting further content.

How do I find a list of all the places and events I submitted?

Type your username in the search box under the Users tab. The user information displayed will include a listing of all events and places you have submitted. (You can also click on the submitter's name on the display page of any event or place to bring up that user's information page.)

Can I later change a listing I submitted?

If you submitted a place or event, you have edit permission on that listing. After signing in, the list of places and events you submitted (see previous question) shows an edit option.
