Last Revision: March 2, 2006

LocalOutings respects your privacy. This document describes how we collect, store, protect, and use information we receive about you. We expect to revise this policy periodically as we grow. You should review the latest version of the policy from time to time.

Information We Collect

When registering for a user account with LocalOutings, we require a valid email address for you. We use your email address only to notify you of significant issues with your user account. If you choose not to supply a valid email address, you can continue to use features of LocalOutings that do not require a user account.

As you visit pages in the LocalOutings web site, we collect information such as your IP address, the type of browser you use, the pages you visit, and the date and time of viewing each page. This information is collected anonymously; that is, the information is not tied to you personally. The information helps us administer the site by knowing in aggregate how the site is being used.

Protecting Your Information

The information we collect is stored in our database and in activity log files. Although we make good faith efforts to store information in a secure environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.

We do not sell or market your personally identifiable information. We will disclose your information to third-parties only under the following circumstances:

  • Disclosure is required in response to a legal process (e.g., court order).
  • Disclosure is required to protect the rights, property, or safety of LocalOutings users, employees, or the general public.

Personal information you reveal to us during registration is viewable by you in a password protected account management interface. You are responsible for keeping your password secure to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Cookies

LocalOutings uses a technology called “cookies” to store information on your computer to enhance your use of the LocalOutings web site. You may choose to disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent you from taking advantage of some features of the LocalOutings web site.
